Take time to chill this Summer with these halo-halo treats
As the heat of dry season flares high, there’s nothing more satisfying than indulging in an ice-cold glass of halo-halo. This traditional Filipino dessert is a festival of flavors—sweet, crunchy, chewy, and gooey—and brings nostalgic feelings to some and a sense of adventure to those who want a tweak.
Below is a list of halo-halo desserts that you can find in Araneta City.
Abé
Abé is known for serving traditional Filipino food, particularly Kapampangan, and gourmet dishes inspired by the owner’s travel experience around the world. But their icy treats are another reason to dine here with your family and friends. Apart from their traditional halo-halo and Mais con Hielo, they also offer Frosty Coco Yum, and Avocado Blizz as an alternative.
As an additional treat, Abé is offering a 20% off to their iced desserts – Halo Halo, Mais con Hielo, Frosty Coco Yum, and Avocado Blizz – from April 15 to June 15, 2025 as part of their Hello Yelo promo.
Abe is located at the Restarurant Collection, Ground Floor of Gateway Mall 2.
Mangan
This Kapampangan restaurant also offers an array of special iced desserts to beat the heat of the dry season. They have Gulaman at Sago, Mais con Yelo, Halo-Halo Espesyal, Ube at Macapuno Halo-Halo, Saging con Yelo, and Guinomis. Whatever your preference is, there is surely one for you in Mangan.
Mangan is located on the Upper Ground A of Gateway Mall 2.
Manam
The Moment Group’s flagship Filipino restaurant, Manam, is one of the go-to restaurants here in Araneta City. And when it comes to their iced treats, their ube halo-halo has become a staple dessert among mall-goers and food enthusiasts. It is made with shaved ice, gulaman, saba, red beans, kaong, nata de coo, macapuno, leche flan, langka, ube, and topped with ube ice cream and pinipig.
Manam is located at the Coliseum Plaza, Ground Floor of Gateway Mall 2.
Palm Grill
If you want to try a sweet, cold treat from Southern Mindanao, Palm Grill is the place to be. Apart from the scrumptious dishes from Zamboanga, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-tawi, Palm Grill also serves its version of Knicker Fruit or Zamboanga’s halo-halo. Unlike the traditional ones, it uses ice cream instead of shaved ice and evaporated milk. Beneath the glass are gelatin, banana, and watermelon.
Palm Grill is located at Palenque, Upper Ground B of Gateway Mall 2.
Razon’s of Guagua
For picky eaters, Razon’s of Guagua keeps their halo-halo straightforward by offering their ‘minimalist’ yet timeless halo-halo that is only served with sweetened banana, macapuno, leche flan, shaved ice and evaporated milk.
Razon’s of Guagua is located along Fiesta Carnival Arcade.
